September Campaign Events

If you are having trouble keeping up with all of the campaign events announced in Kyle and Buda, you are not alone. The events keep popping up so we wanted to keep you in the loop.


Sept. 18 & 25 — Help is needed knocking on doors in Precinct 228, the largest precinct in Hays County. Join the Zwiener and Kling campaigns as they meet up at Deborah Chavez's home at 216 Vermilion Marble Trail in Buda. Volunteers will work from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Sept. 18 & 25 — Or if you want to volunteer in Kyle you can also meet up with the Zwiener and Kling campaigns as they meet up at Genest Harding's home in Precinct 418 home at 163 Johnnys Way. Volunteers will work from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Sept. 19 & 26 — If Wednesdays work better for your schedule, sign-up to help in Precinct 223 in Kyle. Volunteers for the Zwiener and Kling campaigns will be meeting up at Precinct Chair Jeff Thompson's home at 281 Bowie Drive in Kyle, working from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Sept. 20 — Kyle/Buda-Area Democrats will host its next meeting at the Kyle Public Library, 6:15 p.m.–7:45 p.m. We will be discussing plans to help the county effort to encourage Vote By Mail by calling recipients of mailed ballots. Sign up here to receive reminders and updates as we set the agenda.

Sept. 20 — Join David Snyder in Precinct 127 for a weekly phone bank event at his home in Kyle at 6:30 p.m. Callers will be working through the Texas Democratic Party's Coordinated Campaign's lists.

Sept. 21 — Watch Beto O'Rourke demolish Ted Cruz at a debate watch party with fellow KBAD members. The party, held at Susie Ishibashi's home, will start at 5 p.m. and the debate will begin at 6 p.m. Food and drink will be provided, but feel free to bring a beverages and snacks to share.

Sept. 22 — The Kopser and Kling Campaigns will host a joint block walk in Buda on Saturday. Volunteers will meet up at 9:30 a.m. at Nate's Coffee Shop, 306 S Main St. Buda, TX 78610

Sept. 23 — The Kling and Zwiener campaigns will host a Day of Action event in Buda on Sunday. The event will target residents who have recently moved to Precinct 228 in Buda but have not registered to vote. Block walking will begin after volunteers meet up at 10:30 a.m. at Nate's Coffee Shop, 306 S Main St. Buda, TX. However, the campaigns will host an optional training session at 9:30 a.m.

Sept. 30 — Enjoy a local brew and meet Steven Kling at the Beers in Buda fundraiser. Join State Rep. Celia Israel, HCDP chair Donna Haschke, and Rebecca and John Hatch in supporting Steven Kling for Texas Senate. The event will be held at 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Two Wheel Brewing Company, 535 S. Loop 4 in Buda. Sign on as a sponsor with an ActBlue donation.
